Combining old world style and bold architecture, this home will surely be a prized roost for your avian friends. The wooden construction creates a natural shelter, while the washed grey color blends with your garden easily. A 1.25" diameter entrance hole rests on the front of the unit, near the top to create a deep cavity for smaller songbirds such as wrens, chickadees, titmice, nuthatches and others. Separate logs in a rounded design create the roof, lending fun curves to the box while allowing water to run off the sides of the item rather than entering into the home. Drainage holes on the flat base help the nest stay dry, and a metal latch on one side allows easy access to the unit for nest checks. A metal hanger on the back enables you to place this item on a wall or post, while a mounting plate (not included) may be added to the base to secure the home to a pole.
